Traditionally, the Sunday Vesper recaps the week passed and strengthens the soul for the new one. At Café Museum, the Jazz Vesper takes place once at the end of every month. With the power of jazz, it masters the past and create space for the new. Jazz Vespers @ Cafe Museum is curated by Chanda Rule, one of the great voices of current Jazz, who is also rooted in Gospel. Kirk Lightsey called hers the most wonderful voice he has heard in the last decades.
Also a published writer, interfaith minister and storyteller, Chanda loves to use music for community building and communal healing. For her fourth evening, she has invited the amazingly talented and versatile guitarist Mickylee for a duo performance. Having worked together many years, the two know how to blend ritual, contemplation, Sacred music, spirituals, and jazz in a way that brings us joy.
